Bachelor Nick Week 3

Here are my thoughts from this week’s craziness.

  • I think that it was a good move for Nick to be open to the women about the backstory with Liz.
  • However, isn’t Liz similar to how he came back for Kaitlyn? Just saying…
  • I just can’t watch Corinne. It’s great that she is so positive about her body and her sexuality, but I just feel like someday she will be embarrassed by this behavior.
  • I’m glad that Nick said he wanted to slow Corinne down a little.
  • Thank goodness Jasmine interrupted Corinne and Nick.
  • Really Corinne? You have to know that you were not going to be the center of attention the whole time you were in the house right? I think she has some self-esteem issues she needs to address. I feel for her in a way.
  • Is Corinne sleeping through the rose ceremony because she already has a rose?
  • I think my favorite part of this show is seeing all the formal wear. I would wear formal wear every day if it was appropriate (and affordable).
  • Oh Hailey, you are 23. You are still young. Don’t give up girl!
  • Ok I am an N’SYNC girl myself, but I would have loved the Back Street Boys date. I mean come on. I grew up in the 90s.
  • There is a mom dance?
  • Do you think they ever have people who don’t drink on this show?
  • Jasmine is so lucky to be on this date with her dance history.
  • Yes Corinne, you are upset that you are not the center of attention.
  • That is really awkward to have the women standing on the sideline as Danielle and Nick are solo dancing. And then kissing…
  • Am I alone in this, but does Jasmine remind anyone of Gabrielle Union? I think they have a similar voice.
  • I mean, I might be there with Corinne and all the sleeping. This whole thing has to be exhausting.
  • BAHHHHH, I am loving these reactions to Corinne’s nanny. I about fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. But seriously, how does she plan on taking care of someone else?

  • The Zero Gravity plane. How do I get to do that? Tom would freak out if I got this for him.
  • Poor Vanessa. That seems awful to throw up on your first date. That’s the start of something real if he can still kiss her after she puked.
  • BAHHH I would have died to meet Allyson Felix.
  • This track and field date would be so fun.
  • Astrid getting that ring after the dash was so funny to watch.
  • Are they having this cocktail party in a Pier One? I don’t understand the set up of all that furniture and vases.
  • I love how they are supportive of each other getting the confidence and validation from Nick. Its funny, ironic and awesome all at the same time.
  • Yassss! Rachel!
  • What make up are these gals wearing to feel comfortable being around water?
  • This bouncy house scene is ridiculous.
  • Alexis is hilarious. She is that person who says what everyone is thinking.
  • Corinne is NAPPING AGAIN!
  • There is always one episode where everyone dogs on one person.
  • I think that it is fair that Vanessa kind of interrogated Nick. I mean what is he really wanting? She was honest and firm with how she felt. I think she nailed it.
  •  No ABC. You need to cut this crap out with not ending the episode with the rose ceremony.

Bachelorette JoJo Finale

The finale was this week. I wasn’t really into it, but when you put in this much time you have to see it to the end.

  • JoJo admitting loving both. It is a bit concerning that she thinks about the other guy with each one. So is that really love?
  • Her mom has a really good point about both of JoJo and Jordan being the center of attention and them being too alike.
  • Jordan said “me” a lot and not in the right way grammatically.
  • Why do we still put so much emphasis on asking for permission to marry the girl? While it is nice in theory to feel like you have their blessing, but why isn’t it both ways with the woman being expected to do the same with the in-laws? I say that, and I didn’t ask Tom’s family…
  • Do you think they pick out the gifts for the families on their own? How real is that part?
  • Wait Robbie, you wanted to marry her on your first date? How is that real?
  • There was not as much emphasis on the brothers this time as with Ben. And still nothing from her sister…
  • When Robbie and JoJo were talking about being in love, you could see the skeptisism on her family’s faces.
  • I think her family is spot on with Jordan being a good NYE date.
  • Robbie’s speech to JoJo’s parents was very sweet.
  • I still think she is going to pick Jordan because the heart and lust sometimes get confused.
  • JoJo gets her bluntness questioning honestly. Her family is so straightforward.
  • JoJo’s sister is just there for a free ride. She has said nothing…
  • Robbie is so forward. They are cute, but there is something that is just dinging that something fake here.
  • That boat with Jordan…That seems so romantic and special.
  • Jordan seems to talk football announcer play by play when he is doing his interviews..
  • I do think Jordan has a point that it wasn’t right to ask JoJo’s parents when he doesn’t actually know how she feels. This is so weird.
  • Why is she pushing so hard for Jordan when she has all these doubts?
  • JoJo reading Jordan’s letter…I don’t know how to read her.
  • I thought she was going to pick Robbie before Jordan’s letter now.
  • Um they both have really nice handwriting.
  • I have NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS GOING TO DO!
  • Well part of this process is that someone has to feel the pain. Remember you last season?
  • AHHHH Robbie is first!
  • Why do they let them talk first…she needs to stop Robbie.
  • She has said that to everyone that she wanted it to be them…Luke, Chase, Robbie…
  • It has been Jordan since day one, and we all know it.
  • Robbie was a gentlemen wishing her happiness and good luck.
  • No telling him you loved him does not help!
  • I do love watching proposals. Somebody get proposed in front of me please!
  • Well I wish the best for them and apparently they are moving in together but they have some hurdles to overcome.

Bachelorette JoJo Week 8

We are rounding out this journey with JoJo. This was a two episode week so here are my thoughts on the Fantasy Dates and the Men Tell All.

  • I’m impressed JoJo can look so put together and fabulous after crying like that. I am a spotchy hot mess after a good cry.
  • Jordan gets the first rose. After this Luke hesitation, I think she is going to pick Jordan to go all the way.
  • My heart just dropped for Luke. He looks so lost.
  • Why is she holding his hand after she just ripped his heart out?
  • I don’t understand this goodbye…she seems so heartbroken. I don’t understand how she didn’t know how he felt. He made a freaking heart rose trail for her?!?!?
  • Luke for the next bachelor!!!
  • So what do  you think happens to their individual rooms that they forgo for the fantasy suites? I am sure one of the staffers then uses it right?
  • Robbie is calling her Joelle. That is sweet.
  • How does Robbie have esthetician quality hair when he wakes up? And JoJo’s too. Mine looks like frizzy dookie.
  • I would not really call JoJo’s outfit on Jordan’s date sporty. Tennis shoes don’t make it sporty.
  • We would love that hike.
  • Yes Jordan is too good to be true. He is not ready for a serious relationship.
  • JoJo likes to grill Jordan.
  • Is she going to say “This is our first breakfast together.” to every one?
  • It can’t get better than this” said you 24 hours ago on your last date.
  • I want to be upset about people who sneak up for extra time like Robbie did, but at the same time, if I was in his position I wouldn’t want to be away from the person I love either.
  • Country Clubs and Coloring Books?
  • Chase blowing up at JoJo…He should press her. He was blindsighted.
  • He looks so angry…Don’t tell him that you all would have a great relationship if they had met outside the other relationships. That’s gross to tell someone you are everything I ever wanted.
  • BAHHHH Chase came back to the rose ceremony. She shouldn’t let him stay…I like him, but he shouldn’t come back.
  • Chase just redeemed himself, and opened it up for her to pull a Mesnick or for him to be the next bachelor.

Men Tell All

  • These men are just ridiculous.
  • I do think Alex was really immature and very confrontational. I think Luke’s explanation of how military training is ingrained in you is very spot on. (clarification I don’t think that all military are immature. It can jut be hard for them to reintegrate into normal social situations that aren’t military related.)
  • Evan talking about Chad’s steroids is so weird.
  • Bahaha they are all going nuts about Chad.
  • I feel like they are making a big production about Chad…getting his own trailer and the security walk. Come on?
  • Chad dating other contestants ex-gf. “We aren’t all bad guys?” Wow they are getting personal with the intimate.
  • Nick getting up to fight Chad…why is that necessary? But Daniel’s comment about Americans resorting to violence-wow. Because that is helpful.
  • Is Chad drunk?
  • I agree with Chad that Jordan is using this to get famous.
  • Hmm that video of Evan and Chad…it does kind of look like Evan pushed him a little. But Chad’s reaction is ridiculous. Hitting a wall is better than cursing?
  • I really like Wells. I hope he finds love in Paradise. He made some intelligent comments. But I do think by his comments to Chad that some things went down in Paradise.
  • Luke is an adorable hopeless romantic. I didn’t expect you to go home either. Luke as the next bachelor!!!
  • JoJo seriously could be a model. She is always so perfectly put together.
  • Luke is such a gentleman.
  • Chase was also very gracious about the experience.
  • I think either Luke or Chase will be the next Bachelor.
  • CHAD IS EATING FOOD!
  • Wow Chad’s comments about Robbie and Jordan (while maybe some truth) was a pretty low blow.
  • Good for you JoJo saying that she shouldn’t waste her breath on Chad. He is stirring the pot, and she was spot on that he was soaking all the attention up.
  • Oh sweet Vinny’s mom. She loves her son. I love the embarrassment!
  • JoJo was hard to read about how this all ends.
  • Taking a look at the finale clips…all the guys are like why am I watching this.
My favorites: I have none. I don’t like either Jordan or Robbie. However, I do think she is going to pick Jordan.

Bachelorette JoJo Week 7

This is one of my favorite episodes of the series. During the hometowns, there is so much to dissect on how people grew up. Their houses always look so perfect…do you think ABC helps orchestrate that?

  • Chase is up first. It has to be hard knowing that there are three others after you.
  • Divorce does create a wall. Unfortunately, you have a hard time trusting your feelings when it comes to love. I appreciate Chase’s words about it as well as how difficult it could be for someone who comes from parents who have been married for decades to understand. (Tom and I have had conversations about these differences A LOT. I come from divorce, and his parents have been married 40 years.)
  • Apparently they all have “wounds” she didn’t realize was there.
  • Chase’s house is lovely….and very clean. Oh wait the stairs aren’t done…there you have it.
  • That was awkward timing to confront of his dad why it didn’t work out with his mom.
  • Love is more than just a word.
  • I don’t want Chase to force saying it though. Yes it is something you need to have, but don’t just say it because you think you need to.
  • Chase talking to his mom made me cry. All I could think about is someday I will be talking to George about his love. Not ready.
  • Jordan taking JoJo to his high school-I don’t know how I feel about it. It seems weird to live in his glory days.
  • Hot library romance. My kind of date!
  • The whole Aaron Rogers brother thing seems weird…I have felt that he is always seemingly a down to earth guy. It is odd that his entire family doesn’t talk to him.
  • Ahhh JoJo loves Jordan!
  • It makes me a little nervous that she is so scared of Jordan. It seems like she knows her heart is telling her that it is a bad idea, but there is so much attraction that she wants to stay in it.
  • Can we talk about how nice Jordan’s parent’s place is? Wowza.
  • St. Augustine seems like a place I want to visit!
  • Have you ever noticed the women never have purses? I am sure her handlers have all her personal items, but I would feel naked and out of place without my handbags full of chapstic and snacks.
  • I LOVE Robbie’s family. They just seemed so lovely. It is just fueling my desire to have a big family.
  • I think this ex gf social media drama is getting Robbie off the show.
  • Or maybe I am wrong since she told his MOM that she was falling in love with Robbie.
  • I mean Luke is from Texas so that seems just perfect for her.
  • Oh goodness, that is intimidating to meet so many people at this picnic.
  • Luke’s dad is just precious. He gave some really good advice but was very supportive.
  • I want their property. So beautiful.
  • You can tell she wants to say I love you to Luke.
  • THIS IS THE MOST ROMANTIC THING. Luke is wonderful.
  • Jojo looks great in blue.
  • Wait JoJo’s facial expressions to Luke are odd when he pulled her aside to talk to her in the hangar. What do you mean it changes things? You obviously were fawning all over him during the family date? Were you going to send him home? I didn’t see that coming!
  • Luke is your best life partner.
  • If you make a mistake, you find someone else and will make it work. That’s how it works. You could always pull a Mesnick.
  • Really!!!! You pulled me along for two hours and then you didn’t even tell me who she picks?!? I hate it when you do that to me. Of course I am coming back next week. You don’t need to tease me.
My favorites: Luke and Chase. Chase got back on the radar with the way he talked about his emotions and his development.

Bachelorette JoJo Week 6

After another week off, here is another episode of our favorite drama.

  • Alex with the one on one…maybe she will come to the conclusion there is no chemistry. Yes I am judging.
  • They just seem like they are more like friends.
  • That bus sounds like it is going to break, but it looks really cool. Also I have never been on a public bus.
  • The rapping was pretty solid on the bus, but it was almost too good to be on the fly. Also they have a lot doowap group moments in this season.
  • That horse whisperer…my jaw dropped to the ground when he started petting it like a dog.
  • I still don’t see a relationship with Alex. It seems very forced and just because of the horse is making it magical.
  • Watching people kiss is weird.
  • I am finding this scene with the horse to be very odd. Aren’t there like horse flies around? That’s all I would be concerned about.
  • Watching JoJo when Alex say he is falling in love with her was really awkward.
  • I appreciate that JoJo is upfront about how she feels.
  • I called it. She doesn’t feel it with Alex.
  • That timing does suck though that he confesses his feelings and she is like nope.
  • Ok Bachelor, you aren’t even trying to make it appear like they are eating with the table basically being at their feet.
  • And then there is Jordan who has so much chemistry with her.
  • Guys, grape stomping is gross.
  • Y’all are drinking grape juice…
  • Wow Jordan is airing out family laundry for Aaron Rogers. I would never have called that Aaron wasn’t close to his family.
  • That’s more of the reaction you want when you tell someone you love them.
  • A slumber party date?
  • This makes me not want to eat french fries…
  • I always hated truth or dare at slumber parties. I didn’t like sharing stuff and wasn’t brave enough to do anything.
  • Ok James, stirring things up is sad.
  • The three men and JoJo cozying up on the bed is weird. Just weird. (I guess dating them all at one time is also weird.)
  • That is pretty funny they are watching the Bachelor equivalent on the date. I wish they would have shown more commentary on that.
  • I think Robbie is getting the rose on the date.
  • Chase isn’t opening fast enough, he seems like a great guy though.
  • I think she wants to like James, but he is more of a best friend for her.
  • James isn’t super confident in himself.
  • Robbie has a point, that none of them know fully what the other relationships are.
  • Chase and James seem very drunk and somber in the limo.
  • That’s like the perfect date for Luke. Laid-back and outdoorsey.
  • Luke is the one JoJo.
  • James needed to go home. He was letting the drama affect his personality.
  • Those scalp things are amazing!
My favorite: still just Luke. But I have a feeling Jordan will stay until the end.
